My name in Michael Kiley and I am the owner and founder of the Liberty Office Group LLC.
For over 15 years I have been fully self employed, renting office space from a variety of offerings throughout New Hampshire. I have rented offices in 50 floor glass towers, offering the finest in all inclusive office space available, to historic 200 year old homes that have been converted to office space over time. I briefly had a home office, I even shared a suite of offices with a colleague of mine. What I have found from all my many years searching for that perfect office space, was that there were few, if any offerings that melded a cost effective, state of the art work space that also was a pleasurable work environment to be in.
My high end glass tower experience, while nice for my clients, was the most inefficient place to control my facility expenses. In a small office, with now access to fresh air, ther was the base rent, then the $30 per month for a phone line, then another $30 for a fax line, and yet another $50 a month for internet. Conference room space was tracked by the hour and charged accordingly.
My history renting from historic homes throughout NH was again a mixed experience. While they were beautiful from the street, and a departure from the cold corporate, impersonal environments aforementioned, they were not originally designed and built with business in mind. The wiring would occasionally melt my surge protectors, and there would be no internet access offered, wired or otherwise. If there was a conference room to utilize it would look more like a dining room than a place to do business.
As an entrepreneur first and foremost, I wear many hats in the course of a day with my varied business ventures. Like most self employed individuals, I need to control costs, focus on efficiency and create synergies whenever possible. I established the Liberty Office Group with these needs in mind.
I designed and implemented the renovation of these historic buildings, preserving their historic integrity, while updating and bringing in every technology a business could ever need. I also built in many of my personal values into the daily operation of the buildings. You will find NHPR playing in our waiting rooms, of which we are a member. Every member of our office group has access to our charitable giving program offering matching annual donations to a charity of that members choice. I have never experienced an office environment with a Landlord that focused on anything other than making money. I thought it was time for a change.
We may do things a little differently here at the Liberty Office Group, but I think it is a better way to do business.
